Privacy policy

This summary explains which data Rankker processes, why, and for how long, following the product rules defined for the beta.

Preliminary version for the closed beta. This text is still under review and may change before the public launch; relevant changes will be communicated.

What we collect

Email and password (stored only as a hash) for authentication.

Your Dota 2 account identifier, obtained from the Steam proof of control, plus public stats and matches synced from that account.

What you declare in your profile: display name, bio, roles, goals, languages, region, timezone and voice preference, plus your play intent when published.

Invitations, fair play commendations, blocks and reports you create or receive.

What other people can see

Your player profile and active intent show up in Discover. You control whether your Game Profile (stats) is public or private.

Your contact never appears publicly: it's only revealed to the person whose invitation was accepted.

Reports are private; the reported person doesn't see who reported them.

Retention

While your game account is connected, synced history is kept as part of your competitive record.

When you disconnect, your Game Profile is hidden immediately, new syncs stop and a seven-day retention period starts. Reconnecting the same account within that window keeps the history; after it, that account's profile, snapshots and normalized stats are removed.

Resolved reports are kept for 12 months. Raw payloads from data sources are not stored by default.

Deactivation

You can deactivate your account in settings. Deactivation ends every session and removes you and your profiles from normal queries. It is reversible and does not automatically erase history or the minimal security and audit records.
